Trackwise acquires Stevenage Circuits

Trackwise Designs acquired Trackwise Designs, a UK-based designer and manufacturer of flexible and rigid printed circuit boards, in a deal valued at £ 2.5 million and backed by £ 5.9 million in fundraising.


This transaction enables Trackwise to increase its production of improved harness technology (IHT), as well as to expand its customer base and enhance technical, sales and operational expertise.

Trackwise IHT relies on a special manufacturing process to remove the conventional size constraints of Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC). It enables Track Track to produce multi-layer FPCs of any length for challenging applications such as aircraft, industrial wires or cars, as well as medical devices, entertainment equipment, scientific instruments and consumer products.

The remainder of the £ 5.9m fund-raising proceeds will be used to fund additional capabilities and capacities as well as capital to support growth initiatives including the ongoing development of intellectual property and Trackwise's technical knowledge.

NXP and Microsoft Azure RTOS extended relationship

NXP Semiconductors has expanded its partnership with Microsoft to introduce Azure RTOS in the EdgeRTse product portfolio into a wider range of processing solutions.


Through this collaboration, NXP ’s developer community can access Azure RTOS using MCUXpresso software and tools, including fully integrated middleware and tools for file management, graphical user interface, security, networking, and wired / wireless connections.

Currently, Azure RTOS supports low-power, secure 32-bit LPC and i.MX RT cross microcontrollers (MCU) that can be used in many NXPs. The announcement means that NXP intends to expand its partnership and enable Azure RTOS from its popular MCUXpresso software development kit (SDK), which will further expand the support of its broader MCU product portfolio.

This comprehensive integration will help simplify almost every step of the development cycle, such as choosing the right processor, developing and deploying a secure smart edge device, building a secure local area network, and connecting to the cloud.

NXP and Microsoft said the collaboration will reduce the production costs of developers and help them bring new industrial and IoT edge applications to market faster.

Sam George, vice president of Microsoft Azure IoT, said: "We are excited to work with NXP to enable customers to use Azure RTOS through its MCUXpresso SDK." Freelancing Gigs for Women in Tech

For many, gone are the days when you would get a job at 22 fresh out of college or university and then proceed to work in that company for the next 40 years. Retire, collect a pension and sail off into the sunset.
In today’s gig economy it’s much more likely that you’ll work in multiple roles and positions often having to resort to having a main job and a side gig or two to make ends meet while you establish yourself. For instance, I know many women who worked at an ad agency in their creative department working 30 to 35 hours a week and then picked up some design work on the side. I worked on a side project for a website that rated survey sites.
The work is usually flexible and you can bid on projects you actually want to work on. I wanted to share some of the lessons I learned while working on these side projects while establishing my self as a freelancer designer.

Tip #1: Build Up Hours and Credibility

When you first start you’re going to want to get on a platform like Upwork or even Craigslist. This is the easiest way to find clients. Full disclosure, most of the jobs aren’t good. Expectations are high and wages are extremely low. If you’re just starting off on one of these platforms bid low on projects and explain you’re wanting to establish yourself on that platform. As you get more reviews and clients you will gradually build up your rate.
Artists always talk about how they don’t work for free. Fair enough I’m empathetic. There is nothing worse than having someone offer you a gig and say they’ll pay you to DJ in beer or they’ll pay you for your design work with exposure. Bugger off.
I don’t suggest you give away your work but working for lower than what you might expect is a great way to start building up your portfolio, making a little scratch and getting those much needed reviews on your profile. If you’re worth your salt (you’re good at whatever it is you do) and you deliver good work you will get paid well but you have to put the work in.
Even most CEO’s had to put in their time, working menial low paying tasks. Were they more talented than sorting mail? Sure. No gives a crap, the only way to charge more is to be in demand. One great way to create demand is by getting clients.

Tip #2: Ask For More

Wait, what? You just told me to work for less than you want to. At the start, yes. As you build credibility and respect from your clients don’t be afraid to ask for a raise. Too many people wait for their clients to give them a raise, spoiler alert it rarely happens.

Tip #3: Become Diverse

Nothing allows you to charge more than being multi-talented. If you’re an adwords expert being able to pick up the ball on a clients social media is a game changer. Keep moving, keep learning

According to some studies and surveys, it was found that women were genetically found to be backward than the men when it came to the genetics. The task of taking decisions systematically and performing them better was more in men than women.
Approach Of The People:
The society consists of men and women. Belonging to found then male-dominated societies, the women were not paid much of importance and relevance. This made them not stand for the cause and then made them recessive to the happenings. Ironically, men showed more of their interest in the machines since the inventions, and this made it a rule for the world to follow.  Women were also suppressed in the society and then made to be backward in the time.
Lack Of Acknowledgment:
Women had skills to work as good as the men, but the society never recognized it. This made them lack confidence and keep the skills hidden.
Changes have been visible since a long time since the coming of women in the world of technology. Women have started working with equal respect and equal designation in the current world.
